Featured Rescue Horse

Tiger is a Warmblood rescued from Fallbrook, CA in an emaciated state and is currently being rehabilitated at FalconRidge. We are seeking donations or full sponsorship for his recovery.

Recently Adopted Horses

Tejon is a 5 yr old blue roan quarterhorse gelding, AQHA registered name is San Tejon Tego Rey. Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar and King bloodlines. He is currently being started under saddle.

Mohican arrived recently and is an approximately 18 yr old handsome appaloosa gelding. Mohican rides well and appears to have some cow work or team penning in his background. He has a blind spot in one eye but does not bother him. Very energetic boy who likes to get in a hurry at the canter, as in used to run barrels, but is slowing down with training. Mohican appears to have a lot of experience and is looking for a forever home. He has a good disposition and would be perfect for an intermediate rider.

Twinkle is an 11 year old miniature horse paint mare. She is a tiny 32 inches high and was previously a broodmare in Wisconsin, in pasture only. Bought originally for Project Hercules, but she needs handling to get her used to humans so will let her go to a loving home with lots of attention and no breeding.

Dreamcatcher: Dreams is a beautiful white arabian mare, approximately 12 yrs old. She rides well under saddle. Dreams is very special in that she likes to pin her ears when approached (we call her the beautiful Ms. Grinch when she does!) Don't let that fool you, she loves being groomed after being caught, and she's all bluff. Dreams has worked cattle before and has been ridden bridless with no problems. She is sensitive to the leg and light on the bit.

Damascus is 10 yr old Hanovarian gelding and ex show horse. He was shown in equitation and jumper classes on the A circuit. He was then used as a lesson horse in a barn until he had intermittant periods of lameness. He has been nerved and can no longer jump due to that. He arrived here lame but has been getting better with shoes removed and being out in pasture. He is personable and needs a home who will love him, light riding only.

Dragon was rescued from a yard in Valley Center where he was not being fed enough. His owner had rescued him from from going to slaughter, most likely from lameness on the track. He is a 9 yr old beautiful black (dark bay) Thoroughbred gelding. After researching his tattoo, it was found that he is Rhetoric Express and has won over $181,000 on the track! His fetlock appears to have fused and he is now sound. He loves people and is very polite, calm, willing under saddle and personable. Light riding only for this special and handsome boy.

Snowbell is a white mustang mare, approximately 8yrs, who came to FalconRidge for one-month training and was abandoned here by an owner who no longer wanted her. Snowbell has a very cute personality, is about 14.2 hands and greenbroke with only a few rides.

Rockem Sockem Andi is a 5 yr old bay qh mare who has been started under saddle with no problem. Handled here since a yearling, she has a pet-like personality and loves people. She is ready for a forever home and someone to give her attention. Very willing to please, only about 10 rides on her so far, but she goes easily for her rider.

Princess is a beautiful 4 yr old paint mare who was rescued from being put down as a yearling due to being unable to be caught and handled easily by her owner. She has been started under saddle with no problems.

Tanner is a handsome 6 year old quarter horse gelding, AQHA registered name, Just Chippin Away. Has been trained well under saddle for western pleasure and knows all his cues. He previously needed chiropractic adjustments to his neck and hip and is pain free now. He likes people, has excellent manners and a very sweet temperament. Tanner would need to go to a home with light riding only, not hard or performance work and no heavy rider.

Sanctuary Horses

Dontae: A story of how one little colt's quickness and will to live, coupled with one person's determination, allowed him to overcome all odds and teach others about the true meaning of love.
